Today this guide will be about the Karcher Products. Why Because I really like my Karcher steam cleaner so thought why not research their other products and to be honest I could not chose a single one because they are all really good products and not only that they appear to be a really good company in a whole so I thought why not just put all their products in this buying guide and let you see the bigger picture behind the products.
In this buying guide I am give you a little history behind the Karcher Company and the services that they offer along with their products.
About Karcher
Alfred Karcher the founder of Karcher known as an inventor and entrepreneur. Did you know that Alfred Karcher like Robert Bosch, Gottlieb Daimler and Graf Zeppelin was one of the inventors and entrepreneur that Württemberg produced in the beginning of the industrial era. He was dedicated to bringing his ideas to fruition.
In 1924 when he was 23 years old, he completed his studies at the Technical University of Stuttgart. Whilst working at his father’s agency, he developed it into an engineer’s office.
In 1935 he founded his own company in the field of heating technology. He designed and developed the “Karcher salt bath furnace” along with other products.
In 1939 this family owned company relocated to Winnenden and today is still Karcher’s headquarters at this time the company was also producing heating devices for aircraft engines and cabin heating systems.
After the Second World War, the Karcher Company started to focus more on products for everyday use such as, small cookers, round stoves, handcarts and trailers for tractors.
Now for the Cleaning Technology
In 1950 Alfred Karcher made his breakthrough into the cleaning technology industry with his first European hot water high-pressure cleaner (DS 350 steam jet). His design of the water heater was so pioneering that it still forms the basis of all burners today.
Unfortunately Alfred Karcher did not live to see the global success of his innovation, he died on 17th September 1959 at the age of 58. His wife Irene Karcher managed the company for three decades and steered its fortunes. Today their children Johannes Karcher and Susanne Zimmermann von Siefart are in charge of this family owned company which is not in its second generation.
Karcher’s Growth Through Innovation
1974 Karcher turned their attention to high pressure cleaning at this time they changed the colour of their machines from blue to the world famous Karcher yellow.
1980 they expanded their product range to cover basic cleaning requirements such as: we and dry vacuum cleaners, sweeper vacuums and scrubber driers, vehicle washing bays, steam cleaners, clean agents and drinking water and wastewater treatment systems.
1986 launch their pioneering roller brush technology for scrubber driers in the professional range
1993 expanded into indoor products
1995 Improvements to their high pressure cleaner doubled in performance along with the commercial wet and dry vacuum cleaners.
2003 RoboCleaner – fully automatic robotic vacuum cleaner
2007 moved into the gardening sector with pumps for watering, water removal and service water supply in households with a range of accessories.
Karcher Now a Global Market Leader
2011 Karcher launched 100 new products. They are known as the global market leader in cleaning technology for their products being top performing and innovative problem solving.
